Honor our Veterans
This year you can sponsor an American Flag in honor of a Veteran. The flags will be flown atop the fence adjacent to USS SLATER, along Broadway & Quay street in Albany.
USS SLATER will fly a flag with each Veteran’s name attached via dog tag. The flags will be displayed adjacent to USS SLATER for at least two weeks surrounding Veteran’s Day.
Each flag and dog tag will feature one name for a donation of $30 to USS SLATER (Destroyer Escort Historical Museum). Checks and forms can be mailed to USS SLATER, PO BOX 1926, Albany, NY 12201. More information is available at www.ussslater.org.
All proceeds will go directly to the restoration and preservation of USS SLATER. Names need to be submitted by 30 October 2026 in order to be displayed for Veteran’s Day.
