USS Gilligan

USS GILLIGAN (DE-508) has a long and interesting history with her involvement in WWII and also her service as a training ship after the war had ended. She was involved in some of the most famous battles in World War II, was hit by a kamikaze and a torpedo, and still managed to survive the war until the very end. Her stories of battle in some of the most famous and well known moments in history keep her legacy alive, long after she’s been retired.
