USS ENGLAND
USS ENGLAND DE-635 is a record setting ship. Never before or since has a single ship sunk six submarines in 12 days. ENGLAND earned 10 battle stars for action in the Pacific until she was attacked by three kamikaze aircraft off Okinawa and hit by one of them on 9 May 1945.
