LIVE the History!

Step into July 1945 onboard the USS SLATER museum ship, a symbol of what it means to stand up for what is right, and not waver in the face of adversity.  Be witness to the lives of teenage boys who took that stand against dictatorial governments, to ensure that democracy lives on.  Learn why those who served onboard the USS SLATER did what they did, and their challenge to survive.

Why would anyone leave the comfort of their home to serve in a war?  How did democracy survive and what is the legacy?  Who were these boys?

Let us guide your experience into the why, the how, and the what, and you will meet the who!

We offer two options for your experience with the USS SLATER DE766 museum ship:
1) schedule a tour of the ship by contacting our Tour Coordinator;
2) schedule the Traveling Classroom to visit your school or organization.

We offer these options to ensure easy access to the tools that will augment and supplement your instruction, no matter where you are or how much time you have.
